Our mission

The U.S. Women’s National Team Players Association serves as a leading advocate for women’s soccer players, pioneering a new era of women’s soccer as a preeminent sport. Our primary mission is to protect the rights of USWNT players and to advance and safeguard the economic and social welfare of all USWNT players, both on and off the field. We are committed to raising the level of women’s soccer domestically and continuing to grow the game worldwide.

What we do

Players are our number one priority. Our work as an organization is driven by three core values: Protect, Impact, and Enhance. We are committed to the protection of our members as labor, positively impacting our communities - both soccer specifically and society more broadly, and enhancing the group use of our players’ Name, Image, Likeness (NIL).

Protect

  • Representing members in matters concerning wages and working conditions, protecting their rights as players and employees.
  • Negotiating the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the US Soccer Federation.
  • Ensuring compliance with the current CBA.

Impact

  • Form partnerships with organizations to have a positive impact on our communities, specifically in the areas of gender equality, economic justice, access to sport and mental health.
  • Organize events with current members and former players to continue connection across generations and strengthen the community.

Enhance

  • Enhance and protect the group use of Players’ Name, Image, and Likeness.
  • Develop partnerships with licensees to generate passive income and other commercial opportunities for players off the field.
